I work in a variety of materials, including reclaimed wood, tempered glass, and discarded building materials. As a mixed media artist, I’m constantly changing, experimenting and pushing outside the box. For me, it's exciting to create and build the substrates I use from repurposed media. Each one is unique and informs the artwork that will arise from it. The use of rough, reclaimed wood adds a layer of texture that can’t be found in the tabula rasa of a smooth blank canvas.

Passion and emotion best describes the motivation behind my work. My 3-dimensional wall art is an attempt to try and capture those rare, intimate moments in time. I have been an artist for 40 years – always changing, always experimenting. I am excited to create and build each piece. Each unique wood panel, in some way, tells me the painting that needs to come from it.
